Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, Colorado State University

Position and responsibilities: Colorado State University has recently announced a national search for the position of Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biochemical Sciences (CVMBS). The Dean is the chief academic officer of the College who must liase directly between the College and the University administration. As well as providing leadership that promotes academic excellence and a supportive work environment within the faculty, the Dean must also serve as a vital link to veterinary practitioners and the community.

Qualifications: The candidate should have a DVM, or equivalent, with an advanced degree (MS, PhD) being desirable. The candidate should be a distinguished veterinarian with a strong track record in teaching and scholarly excellence and should have administrative experience comparable to a department head or above.
