Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Equine Field Service/Sports Medicine, University of Pennsylvania


Position: The New Bolton Center at The School of Veterinary Medicine, University of Pennsylvania, Department of Clinical Studies, is seeking qualified applicants for a position at the Lecturer or Assistant Professor level in the Clinical Educator (non tenure) Track, in Equine Field Service/Sports.

Qualifications: Requirements for the position include a VMD, or equivalent degree, excellent skills in general clinical equine practice with special interest in sports medicine, emergency medicine, epidemiology, internal medicine and/or reproduction. Board certification or eligibility is desirable.

Responsibilities: The successful candidate is expected to participate in the teaching programme in equine field service and sports medicine, maintain the present equine portion of the field service practice, contribute to continuing education programmes and pursue scholarly activities. This position requires some emergency duty on all farm species. The position is available on or about 1 July 2001.
